Pure Smile Environmental Bamboo toothbrush

Initial thoughts - the toothbrush is packaged in a small white cardboard box. I did expect the packaging to be a bit more 'appealing'. When I used the toothbrush for the first time, I was concerned that the bamboo portion of the brush would swell as it gets wet (it changes to a slightly darker colour with the water). However, it dries quite quickly provided you let it stand upright after use. I was also slightly nervous that the bristles would be too hard. However, the bristles are extremely delicate and soft. I was super happy about this as the harder bristles tend to cause gum retention. After first use my teeth and mouth felt clean, but would have to use for a longer period to see the long term cleaning effects. I also miss the tongue scraping side that regular toothbrushes have, but because the bristles are quite soft, it can also be used to 'brush' your tongue. Overall, I am happy with the toothbrush and plan to purchase another one if no bristles fall out, etc.

Loving this toothbrush, thanks guys! The bristles are softer than I expected, and I usually prefer the soft-bristled toothbrushes, so just bare that in mind if you're considering this one. My order process and delivery were also super quick and easy. Just loving this site!!

So happy I've finally changed our household over to the bamboo toothbrush. It took a little getting used to. I love soft bristles (better for your teeth and gums) so I've found these bristles to be perfect. My teeth feel very clean. The only gripe I have is that the brush handle is considerable shorter (about 2cm) in length than a "regular" plastic toothbrush. When my husband uses his bamboo toothbrush it looks like he's using a toothpick :-). It would be good if Pure Smile could make them slightly longer and also add a splash of colour to differentiate between whose brush belongs to who.

Just started using my toothbrush; the bristles are very soft and gentle on my gums, which I love. Great Eco friendly product! Recommend it to everyone!

Very disappointed, this is NOT a local product, I deliberately bought it because the country of origin is South Africa, skipped the cheaper Chinese options. When I received it the box says designed in South Africa, created in China. I don't think anything that is imported is very faithful to nature and I am very disappointed.
