Directions:

Apply to wrists and inhale deeply.
Additionally, apply to the back of the neck, along the spine and/or bottom of the feet 30 minutes before bedtime.

I thought i was using it wrong at first but after the 3rd to the 6th tome i used it on my child it works she fell asleep withing the hour and slept abit longer than she usually does she actually sleeps till 6am and not 01:30am or 4:30am like she dit before this is really a live saver
