Wheat berries make a delicious sprout, with a sweet, rich, nutty flavour. After harvest, cut the greens and juice them to make a power-packed wheatgrass shot, for a fantastic health boost. This wonderfully versatile grain serves many purposes like common baking recipes, salads, or sandwiches and at the final stages in rice or other cooked grains to add texture.

Directions:
- For Sprouts: Soak 2-3 Tbsp of seed in water for 3-6 hours. Drain. Rinse and drain well twice a day. Keep in the dark for 24-48 hours for more even germination. Ready to eat in 3-4 days.
- For Microgreens: Soak seed for 3-6 hours. Surface sow thickly over prepared, moist grow medium in your microgreens tray and press down firmly. Spray evenly with a fine mist spray. Apply weight and blackout for 2-3 days using the stacked tray method. Once germinated, remove the cover and allow it to green up. Ready to harvest as a microgreen for 7 days.
- For best results use the Living Seeds Sprouting System.

Grows real quick, ensure you harvest swiftly. Great for salas or smoothies
"Wheat berries" in the description almost confused me! The seeds are hard and require more time than you suggest – in Durban's heat. Once growing well, the unsprouted become nice and chewy; the sprouted are crisp and subtle. Has a well-earned place in my kitchen & diet. Safe for people with allergies.
