In case this is helpful for others with adhd - I’m in my 40s and have struggled with adhd my whole life particularly badly after a brain injury 8 years ago. Did so much to train myself out of the habit of adhd but would still only win like 50-60% of the time when it came to focusing on work. It was enough to get by but not to do what I really wanted to with my company consistently. When I hit 40 I said, enough! I’m going to figure this out. 1) I like to rotate supplements every other day so my body doesn’t adapt to them (I rotate pine bark one night and ashwaghanda with tulsi the next which also support adhd). 2) I take saffron during the day sprinkling a little at a time in some water or chicken broth from AM to PM to keep me on task and clear headed. On more adhd triggering days like writing a course and taxes I sprinkle in vyvanse to the same cup as my saffron but only a very small amount in the morning. Without the saffron I need 100mg of vyvanse per day every day from morning to afternoon to be able to truly focus freely. With the saffron I use only 5-20mg as needed in the AM and don’t need it every day. This has been working so well that my work has become consistent and my company is growing exponentially. I’d like to find something to rotate with saffron so I can take it every other day as well but for now I’m just so happy I’m sticking with it.
